God is Meek ... what's that?

God is Meek ... what's that? 2Co 10:1 Now I, Paul, myself urge you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ" In Greek "meek" really means: Gentleness of spirit, It is that attitude of spirit we accept God's dealings with us as good and do not dispute or resist. So Christ's meekness means He accepted God's dealings with Him as good and did not dispute or resist. What was God's dealing with Christ? "This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased" James 1:21 NASB (21) Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility (meekness) receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. Just accept that you are God’s beloved child and He is very pleased with you. Praǘtēs (meek) is not readily expressed in Eng. (since the term "meekness" suggests weakness), but it is a condition of mind and heart which demonstrates gentleness, not in weakness, but gentleness in power. It is a balance born in strength of character. It is an inwrought grace of the soul. 1Co 4:21 What do you desire? Shall I come to you with a rod, or with love and a spirit of gentleness (meekness)? Love and meekness are the OPPOSITE of the rod… The rod and the staff in Psalm 23 were meant for the wolves, not to beat (you) the sheep. It comforted David to know that even though he walks in the shadow of death, and all he sees is darkness, God is with him and the Lord as His shepherd will not allow the wolves (religion, accusers) to devour him or kill him. God does not come to you with a rod to beat you in the head or to break you, but in His meekness He comes with love and gentleness to comfort you. Psa 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. James 3:13 NASB Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness (meekness) of wisdom. The meekness of wisdom is the acceptance of God’s love for you. Just accepting that you are God’s beloved child and He is very pleased with you. Psalms 34:2-4 NASB My soul will make its boast in the LORD; The humble will hear it and rejoice. (3) O magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together. (4) I sought the LORD, and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears. God delivered him from all his fears because Go’s perfect love, which casts out all fear, was revealed to him. It his meekness (acceptance of God’s love) his soul boasted in the Lord and rejoiced. Col 3:11 "... But Christ is all, and in all (mankind). Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves (Greek: plunge into, sink into) mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, and patience. Titus 3:1-6 NASB (1) Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, (2) to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration (meekness) for all men.
